Tilburg University Campus Chaplaincy: English Mass in Tilburg

On every Sunday and holy day of obligation at 5.00 p.m. there is a Catholic Holy Mass in English at student parish ‘Maranatha’, Professor Cobbenhagenlaan 19, Tilburg (close to Tilburg Universiteit railway station).

Het studentenpastoraat organiseert regelmatig activiteiten als culturele of filmavonden, een cursus 'een beetje kennis van de eeuwige dingen', een cursus inleiding in het christendom, gespreksavonden op locatie, studieweekenden. De activiteiten zijn in principe in het Engels.

Deze activiteiten vinden in de meeste gevallen plaats in het Zwijsengebouw of in studentenkerk Maranatha, vlak naast de campus (Professor Cobbenhagenlaan 19 - vanaf de campus, driehonderd meter richting centrum, aan de linkerkant).

studentenparochie

De studentenpastor is tevens pastoor van de op 18 november 1962 opgerichte katholieke studentenparochie 'Maranatha' (Prof. Cobbenhagenlaan 19).

Op zondag, feestdagen en woensdag is er om 17.00 een eucharistieviering in het Engels.

De pastor is verder beschikbaar voor voorbereiding op en toediening van de sacramenten (boetesacrament, doop, huwelijk, ziekenzalving) voor leden van de universitaire gemeenschap. Maak hiervoor een afspraak met de studentenpastor via de Student desk of kom op zondag of woensdag tussen 14.00 en 16.00 langs op 'Maranatha'.

Studentenparochie 'Maranatha' is volledig afhankelijk van giften.

The Campus Chaplaincy regularly organizes activities such as cultural or movie nights, the course "A little knowledge of eternal things”, the course “Introduction to Christianity”, discussion evenings on location, and study weekends. These activities are normally in English.

In most cases they take place in the Zwijsen building or in ‘Maranatha’ church, close to the campus (Professor Cobbenhagenlaan 19 - from the campus, go three hundred meters towards the city center; the church is on the left side of the road).

The chaplain is also pastor of the student parish ‘Maranatha’, which was founded on 18 November 1962 (Professor Cobbenhagenlaan 19).

On Sundays, Christian holy days and Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. there is a Catholic Holy Mass in English.

The chaplain is also available for preparation for and administration of the sacraments (sacrament of penance, baptism, marriage, sacrament of the sick) for members of the university community. Please make an appointment with the chaplain through the Student desk or come to see him on Sundays or Wednesdays between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at ‘Maranatha’.
